The role of the Director of Forensic Disability

The Director is an independent statutory appointment established to protect the rights, interests and wellbeing of forensic disability clients. The Director also ensures the proper administration, monitoring and compliance of the Forensic Disability Act 2011.

The Forensic Disability Act 2011 (the Act) provides for the involuntary detention, and the care and support and protection, of forensic disability clients.
